    Worth Every Penny

Ive been dreaming of a Benchmade knife for 5 or 6 years now, and never been able to commit the money to one. Spending close to $200 on a folding knife was hard to justify...but man was it worth it. This knife is BUTTER smooth. The tolerances, the fit and finish, and the feel of it are all excellent. I love the "chalkboard" sort of rough feel that the anodized handle has. I have a lot of confidence in the S30V blade steel and i know that it is backed by Benchmade for life. It came out of the box sharp enough to shave with, but not what i would call SCARY-sharp. The axis lock was a little gritty for the first 100 opens or so, but after that and a few drops of quality oil, its smooth as can be and never sticks - easy to open or close with only one finger on the axis lock. And i love the way that the knife frictionlessly falls closed when i drop the lock. Bottom-line - I am VERY satisfied with my purchase, with the customer service at REC (Thanks Carly for your patience with me!) and I will be keeping this knife for life. If you are on the fence about this one, just do it and thank yourself later.
