Double X Knives is more of a hobby than a small business; all profits are reinvested in the business to hopefully one day make this a full time venture. 

I started making oyster knives for my hometown volunteer fire company. The knives are auctioned annually at the local oyster eat to supplement their annual budget. Each oyster knife is designed with a full tang, thick handle, and a long narrow blade. This design is optimal for a hinge insertion, twist, pry, and long enough to cut the oyster’s muscle for an easy open. This is more of a hobby for me than anything. Therefore, customer satisfaction is of the utmost concern. Therefore, I back my products for its lifetime on craftsmanship and materials, under the item’s intended use and due care of course. I will replace, refund, or fix my items if there are issues or the customer is not satisfied. I also sharpen or refinish any of my items for free, as long as it is delivered to me.

Leatherwork became my hobby since I make custom sheaths for most of my knives. Leather is beautiful when finished and can last a lifetime if properly maintained. I enjoy challenges and custom requests. My leather is vegetable tanned, premium grade, genuine leather. My products are handmade; hand-tooled and hand-stitched in America.
