After a few years of carrying only a knife I was given at a family Christmas party, I was looking to update to something more practical. The Skeletool checked all of the boxes for what I was looking: pliers, knife, and a screwdriver. It's not the fanciest and doesn't have all of the tools that other multi-tools do, but it's lightweight and has what I am most likely to need. I've carried it for over half a year now, and I really like it. The knife is sharp, and cuts through material better than my old knife did when it was new. It's not difficult to open the knife with a single hand. The wire cutter built-into the pliers works well too, much better than I was expecting. The screwdriver comes with two pieces with a bit head on both ends, giving for four total bit options. When I've been out and about, I've not yet ran into a screw that these two Phillips and flathead sizes couldn't handle. The size is perfect for me. It fits into the front pocket of my jeans where I carry my phone, and I never find myself wishing there was more room for my hand to fit into the pocket to get my phone (about a 7" diagonal with the case). There are maybe two things that could be slightly better: 1) the bottle opener works, but if it had a little more surface area, it could work better, and 2) I wish the pliers were spring loaded. Some people might not like spring-loaded pliers, but I find it makes one-handed operation easier. If somebody was looking for a multi-tool with just the basic tools that you are most likely to need, I can strongly suggest this tool.
