Proudly manufactured at Spyderco's factory in Golden, Colorado, and available only through MGE's Dealers, it features all the defining characteristics of the standard design, as well as the enhanced edge retention, cutting performance, and corrosion resistance of Crucible® CPM® S90V® blade steel. A state-of-the-art powder metallurgy steel, CPM S90V's high vanadium content favors the formation of hard vanadium carbides instead of chromium carbides, enhancing the steel's wear resistance while leaving more free chromium available to provide superior corrosion resistance. The satin-finished PlainEdge™ blade of this knife is full-flat ground for exceptional edge geometry and features an oversized Trademark Round Hole™ for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening. The fiberglass-reinforced nylon handle of this unique knife is injection molded in a beautiful Teal color—the signature color of MGE's Exclusives—and has a Bi-Directional Texturing™ pattern for a secure grip in even the most demanding conditions. It also houses a high-strength back lock mechanism that offers exceptionally smooth operation with either hand. Four sets of threaded inserts in the handle scales allow attachment of a stout pocket clip, supporting convenient left or right-side tip-up or tip-down carry.
