The Story Begins.....

in 2002, Brothers Mike and Brian decided they were done with their current jobs in telecom and wanted to be their own boss. While they were on a road trip, they came up with the idea of a dedicated cutlery shop. Every place they have lived, from New York to Colorado, has had some sort of store for knives and gear, but Columbus, Ohio, had nothing. After a bunch of research and a small business loan, River’s Edge Cutlery was born, and its doors opened in August 2003. 23 years later, in 2026, Jason, who owns and operates TKC ~ The Knife Connection out of Grove City, OH, purchased REC and combined both compaines under one roof.
