The Process: We sharpen to a basic working edge on a 1" x 42" belt. 
The blade is then deburred and polished (not mirror-polished) using a compressed paper wheel with  compound.

AVAILABILITY & TURN AROUND TIME

On average, If you have one pocket knife, we can usually accomodate you while you wait*, anymore than one knife, we have a 24-48 hour turn around time.

(This can vary depending on work load.)

*There are certain times of the day, when we do not have someone on staff to sharpen*

**There is no "while-you -wait" sharpening done on weekends**

Sharpening F.A.Q.

How long will my knives stay sharp?That depends on so many variables; how they are stored, cleaned, maintained, what kind of cutting board is used, the quality of the knife ETC. But in general, even if you do everything right, most people bring them in once every year or two.
Can we sharpen Japanese knives?Yes, we can. They are done in a slightly different fashion than European edges. We take the utmost care in what we do here.
