While I prefer the fixed version of this knife, the folding version is a winner. The handles are smooth-you have to hold it-but not slippery. It slides in and out of pockets and sheaths, etc very smoothly. The coffin shape adds extra grip, which is key for my larger hands. The touch of red for the backstop/lanyard hole is a nice touch. Red thumb stud would have been cool but black to match the lock and screws doesnt disappoint. Ive had no issues with the opening/closing mechanism (lock)-whether opening via thumbstud or via wrist snap, after an initial oiling. I thought 99 was a little high but it fits that price point well overall. If you dont own an aux, you should at least get one!
