    Nice lightweight EDC from Benchmade

    Picked up one of these a couple weeks ago in person from REC. In an earlier visit to the showroom I checked out the full size version of the Claymore OTF but was disappointed by the effort needed to retract the blade. I ended up purchasing another OTF from a different maker that day but still liked the idea of an OTF with tough Grivory handle and lighter weight. After some consideration I decided to give the mini Claymore a try. The deployment and retraction on the mini is much smoother and does not require as much force on retraction as the full size, I would guess due to smaller springs. I have not experienced any failures to deploy or retract the blade since I purchased this knife and out of the box it was very sharp. Happy with the purchase and the customer service at REC.
