    Beauty is in the texture

This is my first ownership of this much hyped and anticipated Yeager-M V3 is another example of excellent manufacturing execution from Reate. The design is simple, boxy, but attractive in its own way. The straight cleaver-esque blade is hollow ground to a mind-bogglingly thin profile. It is actually comfortable in hand, the textured Ti handles feel great, and slices like a dream. The flipper action is smooth and good; while not the best I have, I hope it will break in and improve over time. Maybe a thorough cleaning and lubrication will help. And if not, I might have to consider some Skiffs.

    Brian Brown Yeager M V3

Being that I own a V2 Yeager non flipper, I wasn’t sure I would be getting the V3.. but I did. I didn’t think I’d enjoy this flipper version as much as I am. The action on V3 seems to be smoother and the tumbled pvd finish on this REC exclusive hides scratches.. this hollow grind is born to slice. All this being said, I do feel it’s priced about 75-100 more than it should… fortunately. I had a$100 credit so therefore I felt it was worth it.
