Chris Reeve Large Inkosi Insingo

The Large Inkosi Insingo combines versatility with precision in a knife that handles daily cutting tasks with ease. The modified wharncliffe blade (Insingo means "razor" in Zulu) gives you a practical cutting edge with excellent control for both slicing and detail work. Black canvas Micarta inlays provide secure grip against the sandblasted titanium frame, while actually improving their tactile feel in damp conditions. At just under 5 ounces, it's substantial enough for serious tasks but still carries comfortably in your pocket.

What Makes this Large Inkosi Special

  • Insingo blade profile excels at controlled cutting with a practical tip for precision work
  • Black canvas Micarta inlays enhance grip security while adding visual contrast to the titanium handle
  • Ceramic Ball Interface maintains consistent lock engagement through years of use, ensuring long-term reliability

If you are considering your 1st CRK like I was after building a modest folding knife collection (40 pieces) worth around between 5-6K and your not sure about pulling the trigger there are a few things to know. 1. These are not free dropping fidget knives. 2. Once you get used to the way they operate and feel the unbelievable quality and tolerances they are so painstakingly built with you won't give a crap about #1. There's no need to tell you how freaking awesome these knives are because....well...DUH! I see a lot of people on youtube that for some reason just don't get it but then again who cares. If you haven't experienced one just pull the trigger. If you don't like it REC has your back. Remember these are knives that can be passed down for generations. They do require breaking in and after that a good disassemble/clean/lube due to the aerospace industry tolerances there built with. I'm already planning my Sebenza purchase to go next to this Inkosi. BTW...the perfectly heat treated Magnacut (63-64 RC) takes this knife to the next level.
