These are Gen 2's we picked up at Blade Show Texas!
The Gen 2 Updates:
-Hardware is now all made in the USA
-Bearings are now ceramic with a Delrin cage
-Body and clip screws are now Ti
-Standoffs are threaded instead of the lockside handle so there are now body screws on both sides
-Standoffs have shoulders that fit into counterbores – makes them act as locating pins to hold everything together more precisely
-They now have a milled pocket for the base of the clip
The McNees Performance Machined Line is a labor of love. Jonathan wanted to bring a more affordable line of knives to the market but he would only do it if I could keep them made in the USA. This is not the easiest or most profitable route but it's important to him. All the outsourced work on these is done in the USA and a good portion of the work is done right here in his shop, including fitting locks, detents and sharpening. As McNees Knives continues to grow, more processes will be done in house.
