The Shark-Lock™ mechanism is situated on the spine of the knife and operated with a ramp-like ‘fin.’ Opening the blade makes the spring-driven lock arm move up and then into a notch in the tang, situating it beneath a lock pin. This range of movement is noteworthy. It’s unique in that the locking mechanism moves forward and back while also moving up and down. This allows for a greater sized blade tang, making a better mechanical advantage in a specific area. And because the drive spring that moves the locking element up into the locked position is contained within the locking arm itself, it won’t be subject to dirt and grime. The Shark-Lock™ is very comparable to most Tri-Ad locks for its size and weight. The AD-20.5 has been tested to 875-inch pounds of torque, this is a very impressive number for a 3.5 oz. knife.

Blade Length: 3”
Blade Shape: Clip Pt
Steel: AUS10A, DLC Coated
Handle Material: Grivory w/ Steel Liners
Lock: Shark Lock™

Superb knife. Great service. ¶This is my second AD20.5, and the first from REC. Very impressed with your selection and how informative your product descriptions are. ¶For a modest premium, I ordered two-day Fedex delivery. You shipped the morning I placed my order, and, indeed, it arrived right on time. ¶As for the knife itself, it more than lives up to all the hype and hoopla. Despite being Demko's value version, the fit and finish were first class; the action was slick and smooth right out of the box. And, yes, the blade was as sharp as I've seen from a factory knife. Very much look forward to carrying and using it.

It’s my first Demko I wasn’t sure I would like it. But now that I have it in hand it’s in my top 5 favorite knives! Thank you for getting my alert out so I could buy one! Can’t wait to see the new store watching the progress on Utube. Looks great thanks again Scott
