Pro-Tips:
-Alcohol will clean the leather, but it also pulls the oils out of the leather and will make it "harden". While It won't hurt the leather or affect the performance, you can use saddle soap or mineral oil on it to soften it back up again. (The Strop doesn't need to be soaked; just wipe some on) You can also use olive oil or anything similar to that.
-Be aware that some stropping solutions have harsher solvents in them that potentially can eat away at the glue bond, which may cause the leather to separate from the wood in some places. If this happens, you can easily glue the leather back down with an epoxy.
