The product might be okay, but in this case I'm only comparing to prior experience from other dealers. In past, when ordering these, they came in individual packages, and seemed to be pretty dense. The items received from REC were loosed-packed in the box (no packaging), and had chunks of the rubber missing. The erasers seemed to be of a lesser quality than the ones purchased elsewhere, as they are a bit "crumbly" in texture (not very durable). I'm sure the material works on rust erasure, but longevity of the items may be the downside for these...
Possibly one of the best purchases I have ever made. I cleaned up 3 fixed blades I have for camping and a cast iron pan. Im looking for rusty things I can use it on.
