Introducing......

REC'S FIRST EXCLUSIVE WITH REAL STEEL, A BEAUTIFUL PIECE AT AN AMAZING PRICE.

Only 150 made!!

Luna joins the list of another number of Poltergeist works colabs that we have under our belt. However, this knife is something very very different. The Luna is our first slip joint with Jakub, sporting beautiful GOLDEN EBONY scales and durable D2 tool steel. We designed this knife with the gentleman in mind. Literally as light as a feather and beyond scalpel sharp, the Luna takes on the traditional conceptions of old dusty, lost in time slip joint designs and takes them to a new level. Jakubs keen eye for everything functional is apart in the Luna. The extreme lightness of this knife also makes it a wonder for pocket carry. This is coupled with the awesomely designed deep carry pocket clip that can fit smoothly into the coat pocket or blazer jacket, making it a perfect candidate for EDC carry or general knife rotation. Its light weight property allows the Luna to slip into the pocket without even feeling like it is there.

    Luna "Golden Ebony" - not!

Posted by Bill on 22nd Jan 2021

Nice knife. But the wood is Bocote - not ebony! Loses stars for not being what it was claimed to be. Not the knife's fault - its the maker or seller. I have other knives in ebony, B&W, Dark black and other sorts. I have some knives in Bocote - good stuff. I am into wood working and like wood handled blades. If you don't want to call it Bocote, call it by one of the names used in the places it grows (Salmwood, Princewood, Cyp, Solera, Canaletta, Louro) or somewhere the description tell me its Cordia, the species name. Tell me what it really is and its a 5 star deal... make up stuff and I am not happy.

    Luna

Posted by Jared McBride on 8th Jan 2021

Bought the Real Steel Luna as a loner knife at the office. It is beautiful and feels good in the hand. But the lockup isn't tight at all. Being a smaller knife my thumb is on the spine and easily wants to close the knife on my fingers. For that reason I wouldn't feel safe handing it to anyone.

    Handsome Knife but...

Posted by Tim A on 2nd Feb 2021

I have another version of the Luna in G10, so I am already a fan of the design, but the wood scales give it a much classier look. My only issue is the wood is a bit roughly finished & unsealed, and most likely unstabilized, so this is definitely a gentleman's knife to be carried in a jacket pocket as I doubt the wood will survive the rigors of pants pocket carry. The blade had a good edge out of the box and the lock bar imparts a medium level of force so it's fairly easy to open and close but still has a good half-stop. Overall a nice knife, esp. for the price.

Great looking knife! Probably won't get much use but it is great to look at.

    An Excellent Modern Traditional

Love the unique wooden scales. The pocket clip is minimal and keeps with a traditional feel. The blade is SHARP, and very thin behind the edge.

An absolute steal of a deal...

Posted by Matthew H. on 13th Feb 2021

Just got mine a few days ago and I could not be happier. I own A LOT of knives and this is easily one of the most beautiful and IT WAS $40!!!! That is an incredible price for a very unique and beautiful material, a very classic, clean, classy design, and excellent fit and finish. If you haven’t gotten one of these for yourself yet don’t hesitate. Get one before they’re all gone. REC also shipped very promptly and knife was packaged very securely along with a cool little bandaid dispenser. Highly recommend REC and this particular knife. Thanks.

    Pleasantly Surprised

Posted by Steve Fitzpatrick on 10th Feb 2021

Wasn't sure what to expect, but I took a chance and REC hasn't let me down yet! Awesome piece, super classy and the clicks and clacks this thing makes is so satisfying. Underrated knife right here, the grip naturally makes this more safe because you hold the knife is such a way that closing it on your fingers makes it ALMOST impossible. Go get it. Super limited.

    Super Classy

Posted by Dave B on 7th Jan 2021

This is a very solid knife. D2 steal is nice and slicey. Very lightweight and fits in the pocket well with a deep carry clip. Wood scales add some real class. At this very reasonable price, it was almost an impulse buy. I really appreciate REC doing exclusives on an affordable knife like this. Fuels my need to buy new and unique knives without draining the bank account. No regrets buying this whatsoever.
