    Worth the Hype!

This is my first Shirogorov and will definitely not be my last. While I understand this is an entry level option to the Shiro line, this is looks and feels like a high end knife. The micarta scales have an eye catching pattern and feel that lets you know you spent some money on this one. While the handle/scale is a bit chunkier than I expected, I actually prefer it to slimmer profiles. Couple that with a big blade and this knife is definitely bigger than it looks in pictures and I love it. The action is nice and smooth. I was initially concerned about the flipper not being larger or more pronounced but am pleasantly surprised that it not only works, but it works well. There’s even a bit of a depression ramp that creates a soft landing for you finger when you deploy the blade. If there’s one complaint, it’s that the clip is a little tough when I wear heavier pants. But it still works and I’m over the moon to have gotten this bad boy from the crew at REC!
