In 1990 Spyderco shook things up by introducing two knives, the Delica and Endura. First of their kind on the market, both folders opened up the knife market to lightweight performance, one-hand open pocketknives that just about everyone could afford. They settled as our top two bestsellers and their improvement hasn't slowed since.

We've always taken great pride in our efforts to push the envelope of performance by offering exotic blade steels in our knives. With that spirit in mind, we are proud to offer the Delica 4 Lightweight with a blade crafted from K390.

Manufactured by Böhler-Uddeholm, K390 MICROCLEAN® is a state-of-the-art cold work tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. Its advanced alloy mix was specifically developed to provide the extreme wear resistance and high compressive strength needed in industrial cutting, blanking, and punching operations. Despite its toughness, its exceptionally fine, homogeneous microstructure also makes it readily machinable and easy to heat treat.

Collectively, these qualities make K390 an outstanding blade material for true steel connoisseurs.

    Powerful little knife!

Well the delica has been an iconic knife in the industry for decades for good reason. The k390 though not stainless takes this daily driver off the charts with its edge retention and toughness. What a fitting steel upgrade for such a legendary blade.

Just a old delica fan. Finally a better steel than VG10 ,K390 is awesome! Would like to see one in g10 as well as one in cruware . Dark Green and Dark Gray.

First ever delica. Some say the japan shop has some qc problem compared to the golden shop. I must say the quality on this rivals any golden knife. Very pleased. Great job REC.. will buy from you again.

    Delica 4 K390

Great little knife- effortless to carry! The K390 blade stays scary sharp! Lockup is solid and the handle construction is perfect. The blade grinding of the Seki factory is not up to Spyderco's Colorado or Taiwan precision, but overall this is a great knife! REC as always is a phenomenal place to purchase to purchase from- lightning quick shipping, well packed in an actual box, and the best communication and service anywhere!
