Spyderco Jumpmaster 2 Fixed Blade
The Jumpmaster 2 is a second-generation evolution of the acclaimed Jumpmaster design developed in close cooperation with the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division jumpmasters. These specially trained airborne-qualified soldiers control parachutists during airborne operations and need a knife to quickly and efficiently cut static lines in "hung jumper" situations. The original featured a blunt-tipped sheepfoot blade with one of the most aggressive, long-wearing edges Spyderco ever produced. Survival-minded users appreciated the corrosion-resistant design capable of extreme cutting power but requested a more acute, utilitarian point for increased versatility in emergency situations. The Jumpmaster 2 faithfully retains all key performance characteristics of the first-generation model in a hollow-ground leaf-shaped blade with an acute point profile. Ultra-corrosion-resistant H-1 steel offers impressive cutting power and edge retention with the added benefit of a more versatile point. Injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon scales with Bi-Directional Texturing guarantee a secure grip and attach to the skeletonized full tang with corrosion-resistant hardware. Includes custom-molded, snap-fit Boltaron sheath with G-Clip attachment. The symmetrical sheath design allows the angle-adjustable G-Clip to attach to either side, supporting a wide range of left or right-side carry positions.
