Spyderco Lil' Native Lightweight

The Spyderco Lil' Native Lightweight represents a significant evolution of the compact Native platform. This ultra-portable folder reduces weight by 40 percent through injection-molded FRN scales featuring Bi-Directional Texturing for enhanced grip security. The full-flat-ground CTS-BD1N stainless steel blade maintains a sub-2.5-inch length for legal carry in restrictive jurisdictions while providing excellent cutting performance. A deep-pocket wire clip offers ambidextrous tip-up carry options, complementing the fully accessible Trademark Round Hole that enables one-handed opening with either hand. Available in both plain and fully serrated edges, the Lil' Native Lightweight combines Spyderco's trusted back lock mechanism with featherweight construction for users seeking maximum functionality in a minimalist package.

    Lil Native Lightweight, satin

Posted by John Vincent on 23rd Jan 2026

Much anticipated! Slightly larger than the spyderco dragonfly, the lil native is a great EDC model featuring the leaf style blade I love combined with lightweight FRN scales. The lockback works perfectly in the liner-less handles. BD1N isn't the best performing steel, but it's stainless and suits me just fine on this small little pocket knife. Blade stock is thin and slicy. I can dig it! Will look forward to the salt version(s) in the near future, hopefully.
