This incredible expression of the best-selling Manix 2 combines all the proven features of the standard version with a blade ground from state-of-the-art CPM® S110V® powder metallurgy stainless steel. Boasting an impressive 2.8% carbon and high amounts of vanadium and niobium, CPM S110V is specially formulated for exceptional wear resistance and enhanced corrosion resistance—key qualities in a high-performance blade steel.

The leaf-shaped profile of the Manix 2’s blade provides a long, gently curved cutting edge and a sturdy, utilitarian point. For maximum control, it features a forefinger choil and a thumb ramp with strategic jimping (textured grooves) that allow a forward-positioned grip during detailed cutting tasks. The 14mm Trademark Round Hole™ proudly announces the knife’s Spyderco pedigree and makes one-handed deployment with either hand swift and positive.

Built on a framework of full skeletonized stainless steel liners, the Manix 2’s handle is capped with textured dark blue G-10 scales that are the signature color of Spyderco’s elite family of CPM S110V knives. To ensure convenient carry and instant access, the handle includes a reversible steel clip that mounts to either side of the handle butt for ambidextrous tip-up carry. It also features an oversized lined lanyard hole for easy attachment of fobs and lanyards.

Linking the blade and handle is Spyderco’s patented Ball Bearing Lock™ mechanism. This high-strength lock consists of a ball bearing nested within a durable textured polymer “cage.” When the blade is opened, a compression plunger drives the cage forward to wedge the ball bearing between a ramp on the blade tang and the steel frame anchored between the handle halves. Drawing the caged ball bearing to the rear releases the lock and allows the blade to close smoothly while keeping your fingers safely away from the sharp edge.

    Blurple Manix2

    Posted by P A on 4th Sep 2022

I was very enthusiastic about this Manix, but as many previous purchased Spyderco it is not centered. I’m tired of buying expensive to have to deal with adjustments when received and having to add a deep pocket clip.

    Spyderco Manix 2

Posted by Oleksii Solomin on 8th Aug 2024

The Manix 2 concept itself has been developed by Spyderco for a long time and everything is known about it, nothing can be added or removed. What is much more interesting now is what attachments will be attached to this platform. Be it G10 pads in different colours, pads from light budget series and many, many different types of steels. These include stainless steels, high-speed tool steels, and experimental new products from the knife industry. And this is interesting for the consumer. When everyone finds something unique in the same Spayderco model. That uniqueness is the combination of the Manix 2's rugged construction and the equally rugged S110v stainless steel. An amazing knife with unique features. But like anything unique, the steel itself requires careful handling - it doesn't like blows to the edge as chipping can occur. If you observe precautions, the knife will serve long and successfully, not requiring frequent sharpening. I recommend it, you will not regret it. Special thanks to REC for their customer orientated service.

    Best of the best

Of all the different Manix 2 variants, this one is the best bang for the buck. It's a cardboard annihilator and can be used all day without fatigue--and can go for many months between sharpening on the KME. I live in a pretty humid and hot environment and the s110v's stain-resistant properties are up to the task. The blurple G10 scales blend in well in my jeans pockets. Great buying experience from REC, as always. Get this Manix 2 before it sells out again!
