Spyderco MicroJimbo

The Spyderco MicroJimbo delivers Michael Janich's tactical design in a discreet 6.22" package. Features include a Satin-finish 2.45" CPM S30V Wharncliffe blade, textured G-10 scales, and Spyderco's reliable Compression Lock. At just 3 ounces, it maintains the ergonomic "cockpit" grip of the larger Yojimbo 2 while offering a legally compliant blade length. The full-flat grind enhances cutting performance and tip strength, while the reversible deep-pocket wire clip ensures this stealthy folder virtually disappears when carried—making it perfect for both tactical applications and everyday carry.

Spyderco MicroJimbo – A Compact Tactical Powerhouse

Posted by Petr Dvořáček on 17th May 2025

The Spyderco MicroJimbo is a compact yet formidable folding knife that punches well above its weight. Designed by renowned martial artist and knife designer Michael Janich, the MicroJimbo is a scaled-down version of the popular Yojimbo 2 — and it delivers exceptional performance in a pocket-friendly format. Design & Materials At the heart of the MicroJimbo is a CPM S30V steel blade, known for its excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and overall toughness. The Wharncliffe blade shape, combined with a hollow grind, offers superb cutting performance and tip control, making it ideal for both utility and self-defense applications. The handle features textured G10 scales, providing a secure grip even in challenging conditions. Despite its small size, the ergonomics are outstanding — the knife locks into the hand comfortably and feels natural during detailed work. Functionality & Carry Spyderco’s reliable Compression Lock mechanism ensures solid blade lock-up and easy one-handed closing. The knife opens smoothly via the classic Spyderco thumb hole and carries discreetly thanks to its deep-carry pocket clip. Conclusion The MicroJimbo proves that a tactical knife doesn't have to be large to be effective. It's a precision tool designed for those who value performance, reliability, and discretion in their everyday carry. Whether you're a self-defense enthusiast or just looking for a high-quality small folder, the MicroJimbo won't disappoint.

I’m absolutely loving this new microjimbo. It’s far more practical/enjoyable than the Yojimbo 2 in my opinion. This micro, although smaller than its counterpart, is fully capable and is more pocket friendly due to its size. It has become an instant favorite of mine. The full flat grind on this CPMS30V wharencliffe blade makes this knife such a slicey ho. Get yourself one if you don’t believe me. You know I’d never shit ya
