This Exclusive version of the Spyderco Para® 3 Lightweight was manufactured specifically for REC ~ River's Edge Cutlery and is available only through riversedgecutlery.com. Strict Limit of 1 per household!

The first defining feature of this elite knife is its blade, which is crafted from CTS® 204P, an advanced powder-metallurgy stainless steel that offers an exceptional balance of wear resistance, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Full-flat ground for optimal edge geometry and point utility, the PlainEdge™ blade also features a durable, non-reflective, flat dark earth PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating.

In keeping with the no-nonsense tactical spirit of its blade coating, the handle of this elite knife is injection molded in a distinctive olive drab color, black-coated liners and hardware, and a black-coated deep-pocket wire clip that is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry.

    Just Alright

    This exclusive is fine. The handle color is a bit off from previous Avocados and not in a way I like, but otherwise it's a classic Avocado. The QC is top notch, and it was smooth out of the box with no play, which isn't always true of coated blades. The LW Para 3 design itself, I find it too blade heavy; if you're using the choil it's fine, but with your hand back on the handle it leans too far to the blade. Overall just an okay model, okay exclusive, and a bit of a ridiculous price (got it anyway thanks to REC's nice rewards program, big plus there).

    My first REC Avocado I was able to procure in a drop. I actually prefer the LE over the other… it’s less boxy and the deep carry wire clip carries better than the spoon clip. More drops like this please!

    I've had better centered Para 3 lightweights but it's within the expected for this model. Otherwise everythings excellent, great action, really sharp out of the box, feels great in the pocket and it has been a long time for such a configuration came out again on a Para 3 variant. Really pleased with my purchase.

    Ever since the Avocado series were released, I have always looked forward to how an OD Green/FDE Para 3 LW would look like. REC and Spyderco definitely hit the ball out of the park with this one. The FRN looks absolutely beautiful with the FDE blade combination. The centering of the blade is spot on. No blemishes or defects. In fact, it looks so good that I doubt I'll ever use it! Thanks REC!

    Great First Experience w Para3 & REC

    I've owned a fair share of Spyderco over the years and I've never been attracted to the lightweight designs, but REC's ltd. ed. brought me to the site and I'm very happy with my purchase. The blade coating is perfectly applied, out of the box the edge was toothy as hell and I have found it in my pocket more often than I expected, which is the real vote of confidence.

    Nice Exclusive Folder

    This is my first Spyderco REC exclusive OD green. Wasn’t sure if I’d like the scales as I’m more of a G-10 guy. Ended up liking it a lot because it’s so light weight. Very sharp and has held its edge well. Eager to get my hands on future OD green exclusives.

    I have big hands and prefer larger knives just for the ergonomics/safety factor when handling them, so I was pretty surprised when I picked up a Para3 LW recently and fell in love. This avocado lightweight is just too great! so lightweight and everything that makes a Spyderco good, but the avo colors came out so well and serve as a relatively urban camo in the jeans/brown pants I wear often. Another banger, REC! Keep swinging...

    This is the nicest P3 LW I’ve seen right out of the box. Blade is actually centered , zero blade play and drop-shut action. Grind is good . And it looks great with the black hardware and OD green scales. BTW its my first Spyderco REC Exclusive and Im pretty happy to own one.
