This limited-edition Sprint Run™ expression of the Delica® 4 Lightweight showcases Carpenter® Technology’s Micro-Melt PD#1, an air-hardening, cold-work die steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. Its advanced alloy composition is further enhanced by the CarTech® Micro-Melt powder metal process, which ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure. Functionally equivalent to CPM® CRU-WEAR®, this high-performance steel is the heart of this knife’s full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade. To make this elite Delica 4 Lightweight even more distinctive, its blade is cloaked in a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating and its fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle is injection molded in a deep burgundy color. Consistent with this stunning black-and-burgundy theme, its four-position pocket clip, lock bar, and handle hardware also sport durable black coatings.

    This sprint run of the delica in pd1 (essentially Cruwear) came in perfectly tuned an centered great action even for a backlock. It cuts an slices with ease due to the thin blade an the edge was quite sharp. If you haven't tried a delica you're missing out.
