Spyderco Para Military 2 Lightweight 15V Sprint Run

The 15V Sprint Run Para Military 2 Lightweight strips more than 25 percent of the weight from the iconic original without sacrificing the performance that made it an industry standard. Injection-molded brown FRN handle scales replace G-10 to shed ounces while adding Spyderco's Bi-Directional Texture pattern for a high-traction grip that won't slip in wet or gloved hands. The streamlined Compression Lock mechanism further reduces weight and locks the blade securely open with positive engagement you can feel. CPM 15V tool steel delivers exceptional wear resistance that outlasts most stainless options and holds an edge through extended use. The full-flat grind cuts efficiently with minimal drag across a range of materials. The deep-pocket wire clip keeps the knife riding low and discreet while positioning it for instant access. Reverses for left or right side tip-up carry. All the refined ergonomics and proven reliability of the standard Para Military 2 in a lighter package that disappears in your pocket.

    PM-2 LT.weight 15v

Great knife. I love that it is going to be very easy to do a scale swap. It is to bad that there will be no more 15v knives once all of the Spyderco knives are made. I am hoping.

Finally Pulled the Trigger — No Regrets

Posted by Petr on 18th May 2026

I'd been eyeing this Sprint Run for a while and when I finally got one, it did not disappoint. First thing I noticed out of the box — this thing is light. Like, suspiciously light for how solid it feels in hand. The brown FRN scales look a bit plain in photos but in person they're grippy as hell and the color actually grows on you. The CPM-15V blade is the real story here. I've had S30V, S90V, M4 — this steel is on another level when it comes to edge retention. I've been using it daily for about two months now, cutting everything from cardboard to food prep, and I've touched up the edge exactly once. That's it. Shawn Houston's heat treat is not just marketing fluff — you feel it. Compression Lock is as smooth and satisfying as ever, no play whatsoever. Deployment through the round hole is one-handed and effortless. My only gripe? It's a Sprint Run, so good luck finding one at retail price. I got lucky. If you see it in stock — grab it before someone else does, because you'll be searching for it again six months from now and kicking yourself. Worth every penny.

Honestly I haven’t left a day without this. Spyderco knocked the Para2 LW out of the park.

I needed more Vs in my life

Posted by Charles Vogel II on 15th May 2026

Patiently waited for this to release and was not disappointed. Love the steel, but I was on the fence about the FRN scales. Carried it for a week and any thoughts of swapping scales on it are gone. They have a great feel in hand.

Love this knife! Very solid for a lightweight and very well done. I prefer it over the G10 version.

    Spyderco PM2 lw 15v

I had assumed that I would immediately replace the lightweight scales, since I don't usually like a lot of the thin FRN scales....but these things feel solid. The scales are much sturdier than I imagined they would be so I'll keep them. Obviously 15v is a great steel if you like tool steels.

    As Promised

Was duly impressed with my 15V Para 3 and this is as amazing. If you can find the steel, I recommend. Service was stellar and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend REC.
