That's a great working knife. That's how I see it. Lightweight performance, comfortable tenacious handle. Smooth and balanced operation of the rear lock - closing and opening the blade requires no extra effort. Everything can be done with one hand. The K390 steel is beyond excellent. Holds an edge for a long time. Easy to restore on the belt with diamond paste. It is certainly not stainless steel but as a working blade it copes well with the tasks at hand. Can be safely recommended for housekeeping - it is ready for everything. Recommended.
I bought this as a beater work knife for Fire/Ems. It seems that backlocks are just universally seen as non threatening. Just a nice smooth roll to open and a nicely easy close. I will say the stretch 2 is slightly larger than I expected, it’s size closely resembles the PM2. It came hair whirling sharp out of the box, and k390 just flys through material as is easily maintained with a strop with diamond compound. If you haven’t bought from REC before, their packaging is phenomenal, and they send along stickers, a small microfiber and the knife box wrapped up in packing paper. As well as a personally addressed thank you note. This goes far above what I’ve revived elsewhere and I am choosing to make REC my go to dealer from here on on out. Thank guys. Oh and just buy the knife, she’s not much for looks, but she loves to work!
