Kunwu Padre Diamond Textured Titanium, Satin Vanax - K706T-2

I’ve been carrying the Kunwu Padre with the diamond-textured titanium handle and satin Vanax blade (model K706T-2) for a few weeks now, and I wanted to share some honest thoughts. I didn’t expect to be this impressed, but the knife really grew on me – in the best way. ? Blade & Vanax Steel Let’s start with the blade – this is my first experience with Vanax, and I have to say… it’s incredible. The edge retention is excellent, and I’ve seen zero signs of corrosion even after using it in humid conditions and for food prep. The blade is super slicey thanks to the thin grind, but it still feels solid and confidence-inspiring. I’ve used it for everything from breaking down boxes to peeling fruit, and it hasn’t let me down. ? Handle & Ergonomics The diamond-textured titanium handle looks fantastic in person – subtle but premium – and it adds real grip without feeling too aggressive. The ergonomics are better than I expected; the knife fills the hand nicely without any hot spots, and I find it comfortable even during longer tasks. It’s got a nice weight to it – not too light, not too heavy – just solid and balanced. ⚙️ Action & Lockup Deployment is smooth as butter, thanks to the ball bearings. You can use the front flipper or the thumb hole, and both work reliably. I personally like the front flipper – it’s intuitive and snappy. The frame lock is rock solid, with zero blade play, and the lockbar access is just right – no sharp edges or awkward angles. ? Fit, Finish & Carry Fit and finish are top-notch. Blade centering is perfect, machining is clean, and everything just feels dialed in. The deep-carry titanium clip works great and disappears in the pocket – plus it’s reversible, which is always appreciated. ? Final Thoughts Honestly, the Kunwu Padre K706T-2 feels like a knife that punches way above its price point. Between the premium materials (Vanax, titanium), thoughtful design, and excellent execution, it’s easily become one of my favorite EDC folders. Whether you’re a collector or just someone who appreciates a good tool, this one’s worth checking out. Would I buy it again? Without hesitation. This knife feels like it was made by people who actually use and care about knives – and it shows.

Great knife for the money. Easiest front flipper I've ever used. Vanax is better imo the magnacut, it may not be quite as tough but holds an edge slightly better and is just as corrosive resistant. The milling on the TI handles give this a great texture. This is a great hard use knife. Very happy with it. Will look at Kunwu going forward. A great knife for the money.

My first Kunwu and definitely not my last. This Padre is an absolute beauty. The diamond textured titanium is flawless and cut perfectly. Very nice knife.
