*REC Exclusive* Malibu, 20CV, Available on Tuesday, January 9th @ 12 Noon EST!
Reverse Tanto / Mother of Pearl Button / Stonewash Blade
A new process was thought up by the fine folks at Pro-Tech, and we are honored to have the first exclusive with it. Introducing the Woodland Camo Series.
To achieve this look, the handles are tumbled, particle blasted, acid dipped, color dye injected (in multiple colors) and then sealed with a clearcoat.
The Malibu Reverse Tanto features Custom anodized 7075 aluminum handles, stonewashed Reverse Tanto blade in CPM 20cv steel, satin hardware, and matching satin mini deep carry clip.
The Pro-Tech Malibu is thier exciting entry into the manual flipper market. The Malibu comes in two blade shapes: a Reverse Tanto or Wharncliffe. Both feature premium CPM 20cv blade steel for unbelievably long edge retention and strength, and have a high flat grind to provide a razor cutting edge that terminates in a fine piercing tip. The overall aesthetic of the blade is kept free from markings on the front and back show sides. The Pro-Tech makers mark has been hidden from view on the spine of the knife, while the steel stamp is cleverly hidden on the flipper tab, providing a clean form devoid of superfluous markings. The handle features thoroughly developed ergonomics designed to comfortably fit any size hand; sporting a gently curved spine with finger indexing set into the chamfer on the front of the handle. A mini deep carry clip ensures that this slender knife carries discreetly.
What truly sets the Malibu apart from other knives on the market is its amazingly smooth action that can easily be opened and closed with one hand, while never placing your fingers in the path of the blade. Our unique tuned button lock detent system provides a crisp breaking detent release when the blade is flipped. This distinct system does this using only the button lock itself, with no other detent mechanism necessary. Once open, simply close the blade with an easy push of the button and tilt of the handle. The blade runs on ultra smooth ball bearings riding on protective hardened steel washers, which allows the blade to flow gracefully from open to close with nothing more than a light flick of the flipper and push of the button.
