Spyderco MicroJimbo

The limited-edition Sprint Run MicroJimbo combines Janich's awesome design with the unparalleled performance of CPM 15V steel. With its unique alloy composition, including nearly 15% vanadium, CPM 15V offers the highest wear resistance of any cold-work tool steel, delivering exceptional cutting performance and edge retention. This sprint model also benefits from a specialized heat-treating protocol developed by custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. The MicroJimbo includes all the signature features of the design, such as the high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip. It's brown peel-ply-textured G-10 handle scales and Shawn Houston's “Triple B” logo on the blade add distinctive touches.

    Mighty EDC

Posted by dftm on 4th Aug 2025

I have biiiig paws, but this is still comfortable to use without too great a worry about creeping up on that blade. As someone who has always loved to EDC either a Smock or a Yojimbo, and for who a compartively-sized Lil' Native couldn't break into regular rotation, this knife has dominated my pocket since it arrived a week ago. It's hugely functional, and holds an incredible edge, with less tip fear than you get with the Yojimbo. I highly recommend.

Spyderco C264GPBN15V MicroJimbo – First Impressions After a Few Days of Use

Posted by Petr Dvořáček on 8th Jul 2025

After carrying the MicroJimbo C264GPBN15V for a few days, I can confidently say this little knife punches well above its weight. Despite its compact size, it feels solid and secure in hand. The ergonomics are classic Spyderco—comfortable, practical, and refined. The brown G-10 scales offer excellent grip, and the Compression Lock operates smoothly and confidently. The real star here is the CPM 15V steel. I haven’t had to sharpen it yet, and honestly, it shows no signs of needing it anytime soon. It’s razor-sharp out of the box and holds an edge incredibly well—even after slicing cardboard, rope, and doing a bit of light wood carving. Of course, it’s not stainless, so I make sure to keep it clean and dry, but so far, no rust or patina has appeared. What surprised me most is how capable it feels despite the small blade. The Wharncliffe shape offers great control for detailed work, and it’s become my go-to for everyday cutting tasks. On photos it looks a bit small, but in use, it’s perfectly balanced and efficient. This might be a sprint run, but it’s not staying in a display case—it’s riding in my pocket every day. If you're into high-performance steel and compact EDC knives with serious cutting power, the MicroJimbo 15V is a great choice. I’m really enjoying it so far.

Awesome little knife with excellent ergonomics and cut well, equipped with 15V special treatment by BBB. REC is definitely a place to buy knives: The crews and customer services are the best. Extra SWAG that makes everyone smiles. Thanks y’all!!! Btw, no taxes for California buyers!!!
