So, I finally got my hands on the Spyderco Native 5 Brown G10 Sprint Run with CPM 15V steel, and let me tell you, it’s one of those knives that makes you grin the second you flip it open. First impressions: The brown G10 handle scales are a nice change of pace from the usual black or FRN. They’ve got that warm, earthy vibe that feels a little more refined without being flashy. It’s grippy but not overly aggressive, so it rides well in the pocket. Blade steel (CPM 15V): This is where things get wild. CPM 15V is basically the steel equivalent of a marathon runner. It just keeps going. With nearly 15% vanadium, it’s designed for insane wear resistance and edge retention. Translation: you’re going to be sharpening this thing way less often than most knives. The satin finish looks clean and understated, and the drop point profile is classic Native 5, meaning, super versatile for everyday tasks. In use: Cutting cardboard, slicing food, or even just fidget-flipping it at the desk, the Native 5 feels solid. The back lock is old-school reliable, and the ergonomics are spot-on. Spyderco nailed the finger choil and thumb ramp, so you can choke up for precision cuts or stay back for more leverage. Pocket carry: The four-position clip means you can set it up however you like: tip-up, tip-down, left, right. It’s not the thinnest knife out there, but it carries comfortably thanks to the rounded edges on the G10. The “Sprint Run” factor: This isn’t your everyday production knife. Sprint Runs are limited editions, so owning one feels a bit special. It’s like having a collector’s piece that you can actually use without babying. Bottom line If you’re into knives that combine workhorse performance with collector appeal, the Native 5 Brown G10 Sprint in CPM 15V is a winner. It’s tough, classy, and built to last. Honestly, it’s the kind of knife you’ll want to keep in rotation just to remind yourself how good Spyderco can get when they push the limits.

The Native 5 in 15V is a high performance knife in a compact package, I have put it through its paces and am happy with my purchase. I got this knife a few months back in store when they first dropped. It was great to handle the knife prior to purchase.

While not fidgety like other Spyderco models as it’s a lockback, I’m able to flick it open with a little wrist assist. Despite its compact size, the Native 5 more than makes up for it with a solid, substantial feel. It came razor sharp and perfectly centered. In addition, the G-10 scales are very nicely textured. Very happy with this purchase!

Best dua collab situation available. Period.

I love the N5 but in 15V it’s just perfect! Can’t ask for much more!
