This Exclusive version of the Spyderco Native 5 was specially manufactured for REC! 

The first defining feature of this elite knife is its blade, which is precision machined from CTS® 204P, an advanced powder-metallurgy stainless steel that offers an exceptional balance of wear resistance, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Full-flat ground for optimal edge geometry and point utility, the PlainEdge™ blade also features a durable flat dark earth PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating that reduces its reflectivity and gives it a no-nonsense tactical appearance.

To complement its distinctive blade coating, the handle of this Native 5 proudly features olive drab G-10 scales, black-coated hardware, and a black-coated four-position pocket clip that offers a choice of left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. The Native 5 is one of Spyderco’s most revered folding knife designs. Throughout its evolution, it and its predecessors have also been proud symbols of the excellence of Spyderco's US manufacturing efforts.

    First off my first what I’d call “real” & “expensive” knife was a Spyderco Native 5. That was about 20yrs ago and still carry it. This REC exclusive has an impressive Avocado design to it that is prefect plus being a Native 5 its a winner all around.

    This lil avocado is sick as hell! I do notice it’s a little tight due to the coating but it’s nothing that a bunch of Flicking and using can’t fix. Y’all guys at REC have earned my trust and respect recently and I’ll be buying every RECxSpyderco drop I can get from now on. Thanks guys. ??

    If you are looking for one of the best Spyderco designs, look no further. While not as "Fidgety as the PM 2 or the Para 3, the Audible sound the Back Lock makes when its engaged has its own fidget factor. This was a great addition to the REC Avocado Exclusive Line Up. Thanks REC Team!!

    If you are looking for one of the best Spyderco designs available, look no further. While it may not be as "Fidgety" as the PM2 or Para 3, the audible sound of the Back Lock engaging has its own fidget factor. This was a great addition to REC Avocado Exclusive line up. Thank REC team for this great knife.

    It’s not everyday I purchase a back lock knife, but when it’s dressed in Recs famous colorway I knew it was time for a new addition to my growing collection. The robust snap for the lockbar on this back lock knife lets you FEEL the security of the lock. Yes you’ll need to break it in and when you do it may not leave your pocket for months and months. The CTS204p steel is superb and takes to quick strop to bring back that sharpness, but this knife is the sharpest I’ve opened and should last quite awhile before a stroping will be needed. I especially like the ergos of the native 5, choking up in the choil is very natural feeling no hot spots in hand. Use it and enjoy it !

    This is the ultimate avocado - I only carry a Native 5 when it comes to Spyderco. Mine came centered and once I put some oil on it I could flick it open. No play when locked up either. Thank you REC for this awesome knife!

    The Native is not only my favorite Spyderco design, but my favorite knife design of all time. REC hit a home run with the Avacado colors. Beyond looking cool, the finish is amazingly durable! I have an "Avacado" PM2 that I've carried for a year and the finish is still great. The fit and finish on this Native is outstanding. I'm extremely pleased all around with this knife.

    Awesome folder! The Native 5 is a great knife as it stands. But the desert brown PVD coating with OD green G10 and CTS 204P steel make this an all around winner!
