    Hogue Deka

Posted by Favorite knife of all time! on 21st Jun 2023

This is my favorite knife I've ever owned. The action is butter smooth, and the blade performs as you would want. Great weight, feel in hand, and overall usability. I happen to like the thumb studs, but often use the lock to open the blade. My para 2 hasn't been in my pocket since I bought this knife. Highly recommend!

    Good upgrade

From the original Deka this is a nice upgrade. Overall the knife feels good in the hand and scales have been cleaned up from all the screws. I’m rating this knife two stars for a few reason. 1) The thumbstuds are just as sharp as the blade, the able bar is also sharp but not as jagged as the thumbstuds. Of course Hogue has to be different and use an oversized thumb stud which requires an oversized hole in the blade and thus aftermarket studs won’t work. 2) The blade has two different bevels on the sides. One side is nice and clean while the other looks almost like a tanto, absolutely unacceptable.
