Spyderco Manix 2 XL CruCarta

The Manix 2 XL CruCarta showcases classic brown canvas Micarta scales with CPM CRU-WEAR tool steel blade. Full-flat-ground, satin-finished blade takes full advantage of CRU-WEAR's advanced alloy composition for exceptional edge retention and toughness. High-strength Ball Bearing Lock mechanism provides secure blade retention. Ergonomic handle features full stainless steel liners and backspacer with smooth, unpolished Micarta scales that naturally patina with age and handling to develop distinctive character. Generously sized lanyard hole and polished hourglass clip reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry. The largest member of Spyderco's popular CruCarta family.

    Truly a utility knife of excellent quality, the sharpening came perfectly from the factory and the crucarta combination is exceptional. The blockade is a rock. Although I made modifications to the handle, I am happy with this knife, and the cruwear is treated like the gods. Spyderco does not disappoint at all in how it treats its steel.

    I have been carrying the Manix 2 XL for a couple of years now. I have been collecting knifes for numerous years, and I have not found a folding pattern that possesses everything that the Manix 2 XL does. I saw this version come out and I bugged my wife for weeks to get a chance to order it. Rivers Edge Cutlery made it a pleasant purchasing experience. I have only had the tool for a week now, but I am beyond pleased with the product. I look forward to the knife's change over time with the Micarta and Cruwear.
