Spyderco Tenacious Brown G10, Satin M4 - C122GBNM4P

Well, I'm almost sad to say this because this model is made in China, but this is an excellent knife!! The knife is constructed in a super tough manner, with three solid steel spacers, and a nice strong pivot, this knife has no flex. The knife is advertised as a liner lock, but it's almost a frame lock posing as a liner lock. The stainless steel liners on this knife are extremely robust, they are quite a bit thicker than the G10 scales. The liners add some weight, but I actually enjoy feeling like I have a knife in my hand. I mentioned the liner lock posing as a frame lock because the lockup on this knife is extremely robust. I was actually able to baton this knife through a decent sized chuck of wood with a rubber hammer. The knife never never closed during the batoning. In my opinion, if your folding knife can survive a batoning in the locked position without coming unlocked, then your lockup is more than sufficient for a folder. The last attribute of this knife is it's blade, manufactured from CPM-M4, it has superb edge retention along with amazing toughness. I thought it being manufactured in China would result in a subpar product, well I was worng. I took it to my buddies, he owns a fabrication company called Idea Inc. This knife was put on an HRC tester that's designed for thinner stock and the three test average was 63.4 HRC. This particular hardness testing machine was nearly $2k, and it's calibrated twice a year by a guy that actually comes to the shop with all the calibration equipment. So it's legit. Excellent Knife!!

Good solid work knife, lock up is great, and of course we all know how great Spyderco dose there M4 steel. Like the color as well. Really good knife! I like it!

Such a great knife! The g10 quality is very good and m4 is a killer steel! Being able to get the Tenacious with improved materials is something a lot of Spyderco fans have wanted. This is a must buy!

Purchased it a few months ago. Immediately realized that this is an outstanding addition to the collection. The undoubted advantages include a comfortable handle with G10 overlays and premium super steel CPM M4 hardened according to Spyderco regulations. It is this steel that takes the long-known Tenacious model to the next level. Also good is the reliable Liner Lock. Perhaps the only slight disadvantage, in my opinion, is some stiffness of the lock. However, it will definitely keep the blade from opening in your pocket. Attractiveness is added by a convenient clip, screws, and liner ends polished to match the tone of the blade.
