Spyderco Yurco Ginunting
The Yurco Ginunting draws upon Mickey Yurco's four decades as a custom knifemaker, retired law enforcement officer, veteran SWAT member, and lifelong martial artist with black belts in three systems. Faithfully translates the Filipino ginunting—a traditional sword from the Visayan region—into a compact modern rendition. 9Cr18MoV stainless steel blade with flat grind offers a superior balance of edge geometry and strength. Harpoon-style swedge ensures a strong but acute point. Full-tang handle features contoured, polished G-10 scales secured by eight stainless steel Torx fasteners. Integral lower guard, generously sized lined lanyard hole, and flared fantail butt for positive grip during high-speed manipulation. Wharncliffe-style tip derived from the word gunting (scissors). Concave profile provides exceptional leverage and cutting power. Stunning modern interpretation of classic cultural pattern. Custom-molded Boltaron sheath with belt mount.
